About Us

In 2008, at a gathering of a group of colleagues from Architecture, Communicology, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology, the idea of an organization of interdisciplinary phenomenologists was born.  ICNAP has been enhanced in annual conferences since 2009 through an infusion of colleagues in Nursing, Social Work, Education, Health and other fields that continue to expand its interdisciplinary scope.

ICNAP was created from a recognition of the growing interest in phenomenology and its relevance to many of our most pressing theoretical and applied projects across multiple disciplines.  ICNAP was established as a forum for creative interdisciplinary work that both enriches the advanced phenomenological scholar and nurtures those newly interested in phenomenology.
